Wells Fargo To Present a Youth Simulation Experience During the Virtual 34th Anniversary Conference of 100 Black Men of America, Inc.

Atlanta, GA – September 19, 2020 – 100 Black Men of America, Inc. invites members of the media and the public to attend the final day of the organization’s inaugural virtual conference. Power forums taking place on Saturday, September 19, 2020 will focus on empowering youth of all ages. This 3 day conference will culminate in this simulation to not only empower but to educate middle and high school students. The Wells Fargo Hands on Banking Youth Simulation Activity is a money management, financial simulation that will provide participating youth with a real world experiential learning opportunity.

“100 Black Men of America, Inc. and Wells Fargo have partnered once again, in a unique way, to engage middle and high school mentees and students from participating schools. Economic empowerment starts with financial literacy, which has always been a component of our mentoring model,” stated Thomas W. Dortch, Jr., Chairman, 100 Black Men of America, Inc.

During the event, youth will visit various virtual stations to make decision on how best to allocate funds for real life expenses such as clothing, groceries, transportation and childcare. The simulation will teach money management and shopping  within the constraints of a set budget. This session is free, and the public can access it on Facebook, YouTube or on then100’s website at 100blackmen.org.  Youth are encouraged to RSVP here to secure a spot. A link to access the simulation will be forwarded to registrants.

“For the Black community, greater economic empowerment helps us lead with purpose. On September 19, 2020, join Wells Fargo for the Hands on Banking® Experience, a financial health session for youth that should not be missed,” stated Darlene Goins, Senior VP/Head of Financial Health Philanthropy
