Quentin Roach

Quentin Roach is Chief Procurement Officer & Senior Vice President –Global Supplier Management Group and Global Workplace & Enterprise Services for Merck & Co., Inc. He oversees companywide expenditures; leadership of contract manufacturing; M&A integration, JV & alliance management; enterprise externalization strategies; and productivity & working capital initiatives. He oversees Economic Inclusion & Supplier Diversity processes focused on ensuring an inclusive environment for diverse and small businesses. He is the executive sponsor of Merck’s Next Generation Network –focused on the next generation of employees.

Prior to Merck, he held senior executive roles in Sale & Marketing, Sourcing & Procurement, Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, and Engineering with General Motors Corporation, Delphi Corporation, Strong Health/The University of Rochester, Bausch & Lomb, and Bristol Myers Squibb.

He serves on the board of directors for Armada Supply Solutions, LLC; the National Association of manufacturers; and The Franklin Institute. Past involvement has included: Executive Leadership Council, SCM World, US Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, Columbia University’s Deming Center, Arizona State University’s W.P. Carey College of Business, and the National Black MBA Association.
He has been recognized as a “Top 10 Most Inspiring Leader” by Executive 50, “Top 100 Most Influential Blacks in Corporate America” by Savoy, and “Top 100 Global Ethnic Minority Leaders” by The Financial Times.

Quentin holds a Master of Science in Engineering Management of Technology from Arizona State University, a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from Purdue University and has completed executive development work at Columbia University, Thunderbird University and Trinity College –Dublin.
