Jimmy L. Gillespie, Jr.
Jimmy Gillispie joined the State Farm family as a Summer Intern in 1992 at the Hattiesburg, Mississippi Claims Service Office. A year later, he was rehired as a Claim Representative in Biloxi, Mississippi, and after several promotions, became a Claim Specialist in the Special Investigative Unit.
In December 1999, Jimmy completed the Agency 2000 program, and was appointed a Trainee Agent in Vestavia Hills, Alabama in July 2000. While an agent, he consistently qualified for Ambassador Travel and earned the Chairman’s Circle Award in 2002 and 2003.
Jimmy was promoted to Agency Field Consultant in May 2004 in Birmingham, Alabama, and served in that position until January 2006, when he was promoted to Agency Field Executive in Louisville, Kentucky. In April 2013, Jimmy became a Sales Leader, and transitioned into his current role as a Leadership Enterprise Development Associate (LEDA) in April 2018.
He received his bachelor degree in Banking and Finance from the University of Southern Mississippi, and has earned the Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) designation from The American College.
Jimmy and his wife, Eleanor, are the proud parents of two children, Jimmy III and Paxton.
