Dr. Kevin A. Rolle
Dr. Rolle currently serves as the Chief of Staff at Alabama State University. He serves as an ambassador for the president by providing specialized services and support. In addition to setting the tone for communications emanating from the President’s Office, he provides leadership, direction and executive oversight in accordance with all accreditation, regulatory, and governmental standards appropriate within the education industry and works closely with the Board of Trustees and manages a staff of Vice Presidents and Directors.
Dr. Kevin Rolle has more than two decades of progressive administrative experience in a wide array of governmental, public, and private organizations. He previously served as Executive Vice President and Chief Operation Officer at Alabama A&M University. In addition, he served as Associate Professor of Educational Leadership at South Carolina State University. Prior to his taking this position, he held the position of Vice President for Student Affairs at South Carolina State University.
Dr. Rolle received a Bachelor of Science degree in Therapeutic Recreation in August 1984 and subsequently received a Master of Science degree in Leisure and Recreational Services from Southern University. He also completed 30-plus hours in Public Administration at Southern University. He earned his Doctor of Philosophy degree from Colorado State University (Fort Collins, Colorado) in May 1998 in Education and Human Resource Studies with a cognate in Administration and Community College Leadership.
His professional and social affiliations include membership in Sigma Pi Phi-Delta Chi Boule’, Early Riser Kiwanis, Kappa Phi Kappa Honor Fraternity, Toastmasters International, National Association of Student Personnel Professionals, Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. (Life Member), Prince Hall Masons, Louisiana National Association of Student Affairs Personnel (Board Member), National Association of Student Affairs Professionals, Southern University National Alumni Association and Boy Scouts of America (Baton Rouge, Louisiana).
