Curtis Battles
Curt Battles is immediate past President of the 100 Black Men of Stamford (CT). Active throughout his tenure with the chapter, he’s held numerous leadership roles including 1stVice President/VP Programs/VP Development and Mentoring Coordinator.
Most recently he led the successful execution of the “Fulfilling Your Dream” Youth Summitusing social media to get young Black males to participate. Curt also has significant experience on other local Non-Profit boards focusing on engaging youth.
Professionally, Curt is an entrepreneur, author and speaker. He is a seasoned professional with experience and skills in the hospitality, beverage and commercial real estate industries. Curt honed his craft through a series of management roles for companies such as Pepsi and Jones Lang LaSalle, where he worked on iconic projects such as the redevelopment of Grand Central Terminal.
Curt currently utilizes his depth of knowledge to advise businesses in all growth stages on ways to optimize operations, energize merchandising, elevate branding and source funding.
One of his most recent entrepreneurial ventures is Craft Beer Insights(www.craftbeerinsights.com), which provides management strategies for branding, operations and value creation to firms throughout the rapidly evolving industry. Curt recentlyauthored the book Occupation Fermentation: The Secrets to Building A Successful Craft Brewery, the definitive guide for enthusiasts aiming to convert their passion into a profitable enterprise.
Curt has a Bachelor of Science with Distinction from Cornell University’s School of Hotel Administration and an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg Graduate School of Management.
