Christie Patterson

Christie Patterson is a Director, Lodging Development at Marriott International. She is responsible for supporting the development efforts for all Marriott Select Brands in North America, and co-leading Marriott’s Diversity Ownership Program focused on attracting and educating diverse individuals and women specific to hotel investment and ownership.

Marriott International is one of the world’s leading lodging companies with more than 6,900 properties across 30 leading hotel brands spanning 130 countries and territories.  The company’s Select Brands include Courtyard, Fairfield, SpringHill Suites, Four Points, AC by Marriott, Aloft, Moxy, TownePlace Suites, Element and Residence Inn.    

Christie began her Marriott International career in 1986 as a Reservation Agent in the Mid-Atlantic Region.  Between 1989 and 1994, she held various positions within Revenue Management; including the training of sales, operations and revenue managers of newly opening hotels.  Christie returned to Marriott in 1997 after a few years working for a start-up company in the medical field.  She spent the next 10 years in a variety of roles within Marriott International; Business Development for Host Services Corporation, Brand Management for Towne Place Suites and Residence Inn, and Meeting Management in Owner and Franchise Services, prior to joining the Lodging Development team 11 years ago.

Ms. Patterson earned her bachelor’s degree in Marketing and Management from Salisbury State University in Maryland.
