On Saturday, June 13, the 100 Black Men of Greater Orlando, Inc. hosted its 23rd annual Project Success Scholarship Event at the Rosen Centre Hotel, drawing a crowd of nearly 1,000 supporters to celebrate 39 young scholars and award $120,000 in scholarships. The evening brought together local government officials, educators, donors, and the families and friends of the honored students for a night of recognition, inspiration, and community pride.
All 39 students recognized are graduates of Jones High School in Orlando. The scholars, a mix of graduating high school seniors and current undergraduate and graduate college students, each received $5,000 in annual scholarship support through the Project Success program.
