Comcast awards $80,000 in grants to community partners

tallahassee.comComcast announced on Dec. 20 it has awarded more than $80,000 in Comcast Foundation grants to community partners in Tallahassee.    These grants are going to the local organizations that Comcast teamed up with for its annual corporate day of volunteerism, the 17th annual Comcast Cares Day, back in April. As a part of the company’s year-round commitment to giving back to the communities it serves, the Comcast Foundation provides grants to Comcast Cares Day partner organizations to support their missions throughout the year.   “These Comcast Foundation grants are being given in recognition of the hundreds of Comcast employees, their family and friends and community volunteers who participated in our Comcast Cares Day projects this year,” said Stefanie Bowden, Comcast Government Affairs and Community Impact Specialist. “The grants will expand the impact of Comcast Cares Day far beyond just one day and further support the important work being done throughout Tallahassee by our nonprofit partners.”   Across Florida, Comcast Foundation grants totaling almost $320,000 are being given to 69 Comcast Cares Day partner organizations.
